LegalTerms of Service

Molar Labs — legal

Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern access to molar.it, app.molar.it, and the Molar autonomous QA platform (including Cartographer, Guard, Clones, Trace, and related APIs) operated by Molar Labs (“Molar”, “we”, “us”).

01 — AgreementAcceptance

By accessing the website, creating an account, or using the service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you use the service on behalf of a company, you represent that you have authority to bind that company. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

02 — ServiceWhat Molar provides

Molar is an autonomous QA and release-guard platform offered in early access. Depending on your configuration, the service may crawl applications, generate and run tests, guard pull requests and production deployments, provide stateful clones of third-party APIs, and capture traces for debugging. Capabilities vary by plan and release channel; not every feature shown on the website is available to every user yet.

Preview, beta, and experimental features may be incomplete, change without notice, or be removed. They are provided as-is. Do not rely on Molar as your only quality gate for production until you have validated coverage for your critical paths.

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service with reasonable notice when practicable. We strive for reliability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access during early access.

03 — AccountsRegistration and security

You must provide accurate registration information and keep credentials confidential. You are responsible for activity under your account and for ensuring invited team members comply with these Terms. Notify us promptly at pratik@molar.it if you suspect unauthorized access.

04 — DataCustomer content and privacy

Your content. You retain ownership of applications, code, URLs, test artifacts, traces, and other data you submit (“Customer Content”). You grant Molar a limited license to host, process, and display Customer Content solely to provide and improve the service.

Responsibilities. You represent that you have the rights to submit Customer Content and to authorize Molar to crawl and test the URLs and systems you configure — including obtaining any required consents from your users or employees.

Privacy. Our Privacy Policy describes how we handle personal information. Enterprise customers may request a Data Processing Agreement for GDPR and similar requirements.

05 — UseAcceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the service in violation of law or third-party rights
  • Probe, scan, or test systems you do not own or lack written authorization to test
  • Upload malware, interfere with the platform, or attempt unauthorized access
  • Reverse engineer the service except where permitted by applicable law
  • Resell or sublicense the service without our written consent
  • Use the service to build a competing product using non-public aspects of Molar

We may suspend or terminate access for violations or risks to the platform or other customers.

06 — IPIntellectual property

Molar owns the platform, software, documentation, branding, and all related intellectual property except Customer Content. Feedback you provide may be used by us without restriction or compensation. Open-source components included in the service remain under their respective licenses.

07 — FeesPayment and plans

Paid plans, if offered, are billed according to the pricing shown at signup or in an order form. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law or explicitly stated. We may change prices with advance notice; continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance. During early access, free or beta tiers may have usage limits and can be changed or withdrawn as the product matures.

08 — ConfidentialityConfidential information

Each party may receive non-public information from the other. The receiving party will use reasonable care to protect it and use it only for the business relationship, except for information that is public, independently developed, or rightfully received from a third party without duty of confidentiality.

09 — WarrantiesDisclaimer

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, MOLAR DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT TESTS WILL FIND ALL DEFECTS, THAT CLONES WILL PERFECTLY MIRROR THIRD-PARTY SERVICES, OR THAT PRODUCTION INCIDENTS WILL NOT OCCUR.

10 — LiabilityLimitation

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, MOLAR AND ITS FOUNDERS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND SUPPLIERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR GOODWILL.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF (A) AMOUNTS YOU PAID MOLAR IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR (B) USD $100.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted by law.

11 — IndemnityYour responsibility

You will defend and indemnify Molar against third-party claims arising from Customer Content, your use of the service in violation of these Terms, or testing of systems without proper authorization.

12 — TerminationEnding access

Either party may terminate for convenience on notice where no separate contract applies. We may suspend or terminate immediately for breach, non-payment, or risk to the platform. Upon termination, your right to use the service ends. We will delete or return Customer Content per our retention practices and any DPA, unless retention is required by law.

13 — GeneralGoverning law and changes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts in Bengaluru, Karnataka have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence where applicable.

We may update these Terms by posting a revised version on this page. Material changes will be notified by email or in-product notice where appropriate. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

If any provision is unenforceable, the remainder stays in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a business transfer.
